Reaching the appropriate degree of drying for processed waste in the plastic recycling process is a key, quite energy intensive stage, which determines the quality of the final product obtained during the entire granulation process on granulation lines.

Screw compactors allow to effectively save energy incurred to achieve the required moisture content of the processed material. The screw compactors are the devices designed to remove moisture by pressing and increasing the temperature of shredded, washed film waste and are installed at the ends of the film washing and drying lines.

The device is equipped with a hopper, which allows gravity feeding the film flakes to the built-in screw system. A special screw working in this system enables the material to be compacted and squeezed out of the water contained by the enclosing perforated cylinder. Thanks to the screw rotational movement, the material is transported to the located at the outlet – the hydraulic screw press device, which is the basis for screw compactor’s operation. The high remaining clamping force of the press and the use of special holding jaws cause, that the film flakes received from the screw compactor are properly dried and compacted.

Previously, after proper configuration of the compactors, it is also possible to work with the materials such as PS. In our offer you will find the KLM-P series of screw compactors. The devices we made are distinguished by quiet operation and low energy consumption (installed capacity power 22 kW – 55 kW).
